Time to celebrate Diwali at Mango & The Moon.
At Mango & The Moon, we have nurtured a close working relationship with our wonderful Indian family in Bangalore, a relationship that began many moons 🌝🌛🌝🌜 ago, in the fashion business.
Fast forward 20 years and we are still working with those same lovely people, along with some new faces, designing and creating our beautiful happy cushions and soft furnishings.
This week we are excited to be celebrating Diwali.

Diwali, the 'festival of light' celebrates the end of the harvest and new beginnings and symbolises the spiritual 'victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance' with the festivities reaching their peak on Thursday, the darkest day of the Hindu lunar month, Kartk. More apt this year than ever after what has been the most difficult and challenging time during the pandemic, we wish everyone Health and Happiness 😁😁😁
To honour Diwali, our sample room and cloth houses will close so that our colleagues and families can enjoy this magical festival.
In celebration, temples, homes and outside spaces will be decorated with beautiful shimmering lights and colourful flowers with family feasts and fireworks enjoyed by all, in what is a countrywide joyful celebration of kindness, happiness, and compassion.
Back in Rutland, we are busy preparing for our second Mango & The Moon Christmas and it’s looking like it’s going to be a whirlwind🎄🎅🎄🤶 with lots of Christmas fairs and markets, starting with Witham Hall Winter Fair on the 12th November, followed by Harringworth Artisan Christmas Market on the 19th, Burghley Christmas Fair 24th - 27th November and The Neville Arms Christmas Fair on the 10th & 11th December.

Before we get too caught up with Christmas craziness though, we would like to wish all our wonderful colleagues and friends in Bangalore and Delhi and throughout India, a wonderful Diwali.
